
Paul Dempsey is Managing Director of BBC Worldwide's Home Entertainment division. He oversees the Audio & Music business (comprising music licensing, audiobooks, music publishing and content development) and is Chairman of 2 entertain Ltd, BBC Worldwide's DVD, music and production joint venture with Woolworths.
Paul also represents BBC Worldwide's interests in its joint ventures with Random House (BBC Books) and Pearson Education (BBC Active) with a seat on the board of all joint ventures managed within the Home Entertainment division.
Paul Dempsey joined BBC Worldwide in 1998 as UK Sales Director and became Managing Director of BBC Audiobooks in 2001.
He was appointed Director of BBC Worldwide's Audio & Music business when it was established at the beginning of 2007 to work closely with its counterpart, the BBC's Audio & Music division, to commercially exploit their programming, archive and brands.
Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Paul's background in sales and marketing included eight years at Mars Confectionery followed by two years as Sales Director of Frontline Ltd, BBC Worldwide's magazine joint venture business.
